Where to Stay
Note: Our wedding will take place during Fleet Week, which brings the U.S Navy, Coast Guard, and Marine Corps to the city for ship tours, concerts, air shows, and other events. It’s a very popular time to visit San Francisco – we recommend booking flights and accommodation ASAP.
We know that many are traveling in from out of town – thank you for making the trip! Our wedding events will be spread between Pacific Heights, Haight-Ashbury, and the Mission neighborhoods.
Airbnbs are a great way to experience San Francisco’s varied neighborhoods. We’d suggest looking in the neighborhoods mentioned above, as well as the Castro, Duboce Triangle, and NoPa. If you’d like suggestions or help, text or email us (susannahcparsons@gmail.com and veer.nairyani@gmail.com).

Getting Around
A rental car may be a great option if you plan to extend your trip or want to take a jaunt outside the city. That said, San Francisco is small and easily traversed by public transit, ride share, bikes, or on foot. If you rent a car, do not leave your belongings in it in public or they will be donated to the San Francisco community.
So you know:
Muni is our beloved/beleaguered city transit system, inclusive of buses, trains, cable cars, and railway cars. Use this to get all over the city.
BART is the regional rail service, which connects San Francisco to the airport, to Oakland, Berkeley and other points outside the city. Many of the transit stations downtown have both Muni and BART access.
Download the Clipper Card onto your Apple Wallet or Google Pay, which allows you to load cash and tap-to-pay on Muni and BART with your phone. https://www.clippercard.com/ClipperWeb/apple-pay
Or, vastly increase your level of fun (probably) by doing the following:
Download the Lyft app, which can get your access to the city’s bikeshare system - rent an electric one and leave everyone else in the dust.
If you’re ready for the future, download the Waymo app and let the robot do the work, or Uber if you prefer to be driven around by mortals.
