Things to do

This city has given us so much - including each other. We’re excited to show you around!

Text or call us with any questions. Some selected recommendations below.

Do This

Land’s End & Sutro Baths. Easy hike/walk with epic views of the Pacific and the Golden Gate Bridge.

Observation Deck at the De Young Museum. Hands down the best view of the city, and free! Stick around to check out the current exhibition.

Exploratorium. For the nerds.

Presidio Tunnel Tops. Great place to watch the youngins in the regatta under the Golden Gate Bridge while you sip on coffee from a nearby food truck.

Golden Gate Park. The best. Great for long strolls or bike rides, with many places for picnics. Pop in to the Conservatory of Flowers, DeYoung, California Academy of Sciences, or Japanese Tea Gardens. Spot our local bison.

Ferry Building. Tons of local food and gifts, and an undefeated farmer’s market on Saturdays. Walk along the Embarcadero and check out the Bay Lights at night.

Chinatown. The largest chinatown outside of Asia and the oldest in North America. Start on Grant St and wander.

Bike up the Wiggle. A bike friendly route that connects the east and west sides of the city. Grab an e-bike in the Castro at 17th and Sanchez and put in directions for Haight-Ashbury or the Conservatory of Flowers. Stop at Duboce Park and grab coffee at a nearby spot (Cafe Reveille or Duboce Park Cafe are both great) or a beer at Toronado or The Page.

Drink That

Zeitgeist. Biker bar with a big patio, great beer list, and pretty good food.

Buena Vista Cafe. Started in 1916 and home of the original Irish Coffee.

Millay Wine Bar. Great natural wine at a bustling intersection. A Friday night tradition for Susie, Katie, and Jacob for four years running.

Standard Deviant Brewing. Our neighborhood bar and our favorite beer in the city (hazy pale ale).

Bar Part Time. Best dressed hipsters drinking natural wine out of tiny glasses with the DJ spinning records under a disco ball.

Kezar’s (Liverpool) or Maggie McGarrys (Arsenal), depending on your favorite English soccer club for early weekend games and Guinness.

Eat Eat Eat

Devil’s Teeth Bakery. Get the breakfast sandwich with everything on it and walk to Ocean Beach.

Pakwan. Where we should have had our reception. Undefeated, BYOB, counter service Indian classics and unlimited chai with a questionable bathroom.

Penny Roma. Our (probably) favorite pasta in the city. Made by hand baby — get their “pasta sauce” house red and call it a night.

La Taqueria. The GOAT for a reason.

Golden Boy Pizza. Do you like clams on your pizza? Because it’s available. This pizza is just as good when you’re sober!

Udupi Palace. You know it’s good based on the density of south asians.

Zazie’s. A great brunch in a cute house. Try to get a spot in the back patio.

Dumpling Home. Every culture eats dumplings for a reason.
